COMPOSITE BREEDING

  • We have been using such composite bulls for a long time and are continually impressed by their calf getting ability, hardiness and all round productivity of their progeny which we gauge against the 12000 plus calves that we buy in annually and we are very happy with the comparison.

  • The composite bulls have been bred out of the best Angus, Red Angus and Murray Grey cows we can buy and breed.
  • The bulls are by the best Gelbvieh bulls we can breed that are designed to have a major impact on the muscle, growth, structure, hardiness and maternal abilities of their progeny. Their all round productivity would be almost impossible to match by any other breed.

  • The blend of high growth, finishing ability, hardiness as well as the maternal characteristics of the progeny is a great package.

  • As well as growing super fast, they will breed superior replacement females that will be more efficient for many years

  • There is also a hardiness that would make them ideal workers in the pastoral areas.

  • Next year we will be offering yearling bulls of similar quality at our feedlot at Three Springs. Yearling bulls with this much early maturity and hardiness are the way to go because they are available for at least an extra year, they breakdown less and probably will be better value.

  • We are very keen to buy back the progeny of our bulls because we know they will perform well above average in both the feedlot and breeding herd – premiums apply.

Gelbvieh-Grey heifers. Fantastic for breeding or for feeding.
